Motorists in Kauai should expect traffic disruptions from April 9 to April 15 due to guardrail repair and installation work. Lane closures will be in effect at multiple locations. The Department of Public Works advises residents and visitors to plan their routes to avoid delays during this period, according to the County of Kauai.
The work, in collaboration with GP Roadway Solutions, is scheduled to take place from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weather permitting. The affected areas will include Hulemalu Road from April 9 to April 11, Po‘ipū Road near the Po‘ipū Roundabout from April 11 to April 14, and Waha Road from April 14 to April 15, as reported by the County of Kauai.
Parking will be prohibited in the work zones during repairs. Flaggers will direct traffic, and commuters are advised to use alternate routes and allow extra travel time.
