The California Highway Patrol reported to KTLA that the accident involved a white Chevrolet SUV and a dark-colored Ford SUV around 7:10 p.m. The Chevy is said to have rolled multiple times, coming to rest on an embankment, while the Ford was found facing the wrong direction, indicating the severe nature of the collision. The life of an elderly man and that of a toddler were claimed in this devastating turn of events.
Investigators are considering impairment as a potential factor, which could provide some explanation for the violent clash of metal and ensuing chaos.
