
In the quiet predawn on Sunday, a catastrophic incident shattered the stillness on a stretch of I-71 near Columbus, Ohio. A 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe spun out of control for unknown reasons and suffered a devastating crash. According to a press release from the Columbus Division of Police, the vehicle, southbound just north of State Route 161, began to drift sideways at about 2:04 am before sliding off the roadway at a high speed and colliding with a concrete culvert, resulting in the death of the passenger who was ejected during the collision.
The aftermath of the crash was grim, with the passenger, whose name was unreleased pending notification of next of kin, pronounced dead at the scene.
