A Highland Township community has been left searching for answers after the tragic shooting death of a young woman in her home. The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, as reported by The Oakland Press, confirmed that 23-year-old Rachel Renee Wooten was pronounced dead at the scene of the crime, a mobile home on the 200 block of Maple, following an emergency call made just after 4 p.m. on Tuesday.
In the chilling call that brought law enforcement to Highland Hills, the alleged shooter and Wooten’s fiancé, a 21-year-old man whose name has not yet been released detailed he had shot his fiancée and himself, was apprehended on-site without resistance and he is currently in custody as Audacy detailed the early findings of the investigation.
