
Two individuals sustained injuries following an explosion of an electrical box on Thursday in Joppa, sparking a swift response from local emergency services. Firefighters from the Joppa Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company were dispatched to the scene in the 3300 block of Fashion Way, as reported by WMAR2 News. The incident occurred just before 11 a.m., leaving both victims with burn injuries that necessitated urgent care.
Officials described the event as an "electrical emergency," prompting concerns over workplace safety. As such, Maryland Occupational Safety and Health was requested to investigate, FOX Baltimore reported.
The victims were promptly transported by Harford County Department of Emergency Services EMS units for treatment at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, although their conditions remain unreported at this time.
