The St. Bernard Sheriff's Office, acting in cooperation with the New Orleans Police Department, arrested two suspects allegedly linked to a recent homicide in New Orleans. Identified as Harry Darby, 19, and Julian Vicknair, 18, both men are facing charges of second degree murder and attempted second degree murder, as reported by SBSO.

After receiving tips that pointed to the whereabouts of the suspects in St. Bernard Parish, local law enforcement launched an investigation. Confirmed by Sheriff James Pohlmann, the two were taken into custody without incident on Monday at a residence on the 2400 block of Riverbend Drive in Violet. Being wanted for a crime that occurred early Sunday on the 7700 block of Willow Street in New Orleans, NOPD was looking for Darby and Vicknair.

The incident in question, as detailed by investigators from NOPD, involved three victims in a vehicle being shot at. With one victim sustaining non-life-threatening injuries, another pronounced dead at the scene, and a third unharmed, the subsequent investigation quickly mobilized various NOPD units. The NOPD shared their ongoing operations with support from the Violent Offenders Warrant Squad and the Violent Crime Abatement Investigation Team.

Following the apprehension, Darby and Vicknair were transported to the Orleans Justice Center, where they were booked on the designated charges. Adding to the narrative of earlier reports, NOPD's Homicide Unit played a paramount role, working alongside the SBSO to arrest the suspects without harming anyone in the process.
