A deadly rollover crash has claimed the life of a 33-year-old Union City man on I-94 near Battle Creek. The Michigan State Police responded to the scene around 10:15 p.m. on Friday last week, as reported by WZZM 13. The investigation, still in progress, has thus far revealed the Ford pickup truck the man was driving moved from the left-hand to the right-hand lane before exiting the roadway and overturning onto its roof.
The victim was wearing a seatbelt during the crash but did not survive, according to WWMT.
Michigan State Police are still investigating the cause and have not yet determined if drugs or alcohol were involved, as per WOOD TV. The fatal accident closed eastbound I-94 for investigation, with details being gathered from witness statements and evidence collection.
