The Solano County Sheriff’s Office, aligned with several law enforcement partners, has apprehended a suspect in a serious child pornography case. The office detailed the coordinated efforts that led to the capture and arrest of 27-year-old Edgar “Cataleya” Aguirre, per the Solano County Sheriff’s Office.
The multi-agency operation commenced on March 6, when law enforcement descended upon a residence on Paddon Rd, armed with a search warrant triggered by tips of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) being downloaded and distributed. Seized electronics underwent a forensic examination to continue to gather evidence, an essential process in stitching together the digital fingerprints of exploitation. They reported that an arrest warrant was later secured from the Solano County District Attorney's Office.
Aguirre was detained yesterday by a team comprising the Solano County Sheriff’s Office SWAT, Investigations Bureau, and SET Team. Booked into the Solano County Jail, Aguirre faces charges including 11 counts of distribution of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.
