According to a social media post from the Vallejo Police Department, officers responded to a report of a burglary that took place on Tuesday at a residential complex on the 1100 block of Sonata Drive, where a locked work van, tucked inside a gated garage, had been forcefully entered and stripped of approximately $4,000 worth of professional-grade tools.
Through the lens of the garage's surveillance system, the officers procured the visages of two perpetrators amid their illicit acts, captured on film as evidence of their transgression. A mere two days later, an eagle-eyed patrol officer on the 500 block of Tennessee Street recognized a female as the one whose features resonated with the burglar depicted in the footage, she was detained and upon a records check found she was on felony probation in Solano County for possession of stolen property, a circumstance that warrants a deeper probe into one's daily carry.
Upon executing a probation search, a tool bag amidst the female suspect's possessions resulted in the discovery of several pilfered items marked with the initials of their rightful owner, hailing from the very collection ransacked from Sonata Drive. After receiving her Miranda rights, the suspect disclosed her involvement in the heist.
