According to the National Weather Service, the latter half of the week will see a consistent pattern with partly sunny skies and temperatures climbing towards a high near 90°F. Thursday's outlook brings more of the same, with some clouds at night and mild southeast winds that could once again hit the 20 mph mark.
Friday announces a change in the weather's steady drumbeat, a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms looms in the forecast, mainly after 1 pm, offering a reprieve from the mounting heat. Partly sunny conditions will prevail, as the high flirts with the 89°F mark.
