The streets of West Augustine are set to come alive with the vibrant festivities of the 2025 West Augustine CRA Easter Parade. In a social media post, St. Johns County announced its collaboration with the West Augustine CRA Steering Committee to host the event on Sunday, from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Starting at the New St. James Missionary Baptist Church and continuing west along West King Street, the parade is expected to draw crowds with its lineup of marching bands, floats, community groups, and safety vehicles.
Road closures and detours will begin to take effect at about 3 p.m. as the parade preparations get underway. Motorists are being encouraged to plan their routes ahead of time and to pay close attention to all signage. According to the St. Johns County's social media alert, the road closures will be lifted progressively as the parade moves through the city.
After the parade, attendees are invited to Collier-Blocker-Puryear Park where the celebrations will continue with a youth talent show. This event promises to offer a platform for young talents to showcase their abilities in what's seen as a truly community-centered part of the day's proceedings.
