West Palm Beach witnessed a violent altercation between two brothers that escalated far beyond verbal insults, culminating in one sibling being accused of stabbing the other. CBS12 reported an incident last Thursday where the West Palm Beach Police Department responded to reports of two men arguing and one wielding a knife.

Upon arrival at the scene on Telogia Court, police detained Ralph Delligatti, 73, who had a knife in his possession, and a noticeably bloodied black eye. His brother, arriving shortly thereafter, displayed a knife wound to his lower abdomen, which, according to WPBF, he claimed was the result of an altercation with Ralph after being bad-mouthed. Delligatti's alleged retaliation included slashing tires, but in a twist of mistaken aggression, he inadvertently damaged a Honda Element instead of his brother’s Jeep.

Authorities reviewed video evidence, which reportedly showed Delligatti making stabbing motions at his brother’s alleged vehicle tires before his departure, and the injured brother touching his stab wound upon his return. Quoted from the arrest report and highlighted by CBS12, "Delligatti also said he had accidentally slashed the wrong tire."

WPBF's coverage adds that during the fight, Delligatti admitted to slapping his brother and holding "a stick with a knife to scare his brother" but denied using it to inflict harm. However, and contradictory to his statement, a witness claimed to have seen Delligatti throw a knife at his brother. A third party, the owner of the Honda, has expressed intent to press charges for the damage caused.

Following the debacle, Delligatti faced charges including aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and criminal mischief. He was subsequently booked and taken to the Palm Beach County Jail, where he awaits further legal proceedings.
