The Wilson County Sheriff's Office has issued a statement on social media, alerting the public to avoid affected areas and exercise extreme caution if travel is deemed necessary. The notice, detailed on the Sheriff's Office Facebook page, marks out roads such as N Greenhill Rd at Paddock Pl, and 105 Lynn Ln, among others in the list of closures.
Efforts to restore normalcy are underway as crews have been dispatched to clear the streets; this includes the northbound lane of S Greenhill Rd at Medarias that has been reported to be blocked, along with a situation at 1016 Locust Grove Rd and 3221 E Old Laguardo Rd that people should steer clear of the debris-laden roads as well as Oakwood Terrace which is right off of Nonaville Road, the Sheriff's Office underlines the importance of not attempting to traverse roads overwhelmed by debris or dangerous powerlines. Local authorities have urged the community to report any new hazards that may arise in the aftermath of the storm's destruction.
