
The Wilsonville Police Department, in partnership with the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, conducted an operation on Thursday that resulted in 19 arrests related to thefts at retailers in Wilsonville. The 10-hour operation recovered 148 items valued at approximately $2,600 and cleared five arrest warrants, according to the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office.
A lengthy operation resulted in several arrests and potential leads on an online fencing operation. Investigations are ongoing following an arrest on Thursday. Information about the suspects and stores involved has not been disclosed. The operation is part of a statewide initiative funded by the Organized Retail Theft Grant Program, created under Oregon Senate Bill 900 in 2023, to address organized theft impacting retailers, as reported by the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office.
A Property & Evidence Technician from the Sheriff's Office assisted in documenting and processing evidence during a recent mission. The Oregon Criminal Justice Commission's Organized Retail Theft Grant Program provided funding to Clackamas County to support efforts against retail crime. Wilsonville, Happy Valley, and Estacada contract with the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office for municipal police services, and the funding suggests more missions to address retail crime.
