Early Sunday morning, the peaceful routine of the Northwest district was disrupted by a violent incident. Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) officers rushed to the 2000 block of 14th Street after receiving a report of a stabbing.
At the scene, they discovered an adult female with multiple stab wounds, and the quick response of DC Fire and EMS ensured her transportation to a local hospital for urgent care.
As details unfolded, MPD detectives conducted an investigation that culminated in the arrest of 28-year-old Dayonna Davis from Waldorf, Maryland. Charged with Assault With a Dangerous Weapon (Knife), Davis is now in custody.
