A fatal shooting occurred yesterday early morning in Northeast Washington, D.C., claiming the life of 23-year-old DeSean Mackall from Temple Hills, Maryland. The Metropolitan Police Department responded to the 4200 block of Dix Street, Northeast at around 12:43 a.m. after reports of a shooting.
Officers found Mackall unconscious and not breathing with gunshot wounds. Despite efforts by D.C. Fire and EMS, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation is ongoing, but no suspects have been named or arrested.
