A tragic head-on collision in York County has claimed the life of a 23-year-old woman, identified as Destiny Weitkamp of Lower Chanceford Township. Pennsylvania State Police and the York County Coroner's Office investigated the crash on the 2500 block of Delta Road/Route 74 around 9:30 p.m. last Thursday. As reported by PennLive, Weitkamp was driving southbound when she crossed into the northbound lane and collided with another vehicle.
The aftermath of the collision saw Weitkamp transported to WellSpan York Hospital, where, after battling injuries sustained in the accident, she was pronounced dead on Sunday night. The nature of the accident, the cause of which remains unknown at this time, while the coroner has ruled the death accidental due to blunt force trauma.
