Earlier today, an ambulance transporting a stroke victim was involved in a collision in southwest Houston, a mishap that resulted in three people being hospitalized. According to Click2Houston, a Honda struck the ambulance at the intersection of West Sam Houston Parkway Feeder and Westpark Drive. The driver of the Honda was not injured, however, the emergency vehicle's driver, the EMS worker on board, and the stroke victim were all in need to be quickly taken to a nearby hospital.
The specific circumstances that led up to the collision are still being pieced together by the Houston Police Department (HPD). Reports from KHOU 11 News show the site of the incident on Westpark near the West Beltway 8, where the damage to the ambulance was visible at the scene.
