
A tragic altercation in League City has led to the arrest of 78-year-old Ted Cassell, accused of using a vehicle to fatally injure a 72-year-old man. The incident occurred on a peaceful Saturday afternoon when, according to CW39, a heated argument escalated on Cove Park Drive.
League City Police responded to the 1900 block of Cove Park Drive around 5 p.m. after reports that someone had been hit by a vehicle. First responders tried to save the victim, who was taken to a local hospital but later died, as reported by FOX26 Houston.
Witnesses present at the scene asserted that Cassell, the suspect, was found inside his vehicle after the incident. FOX26 Houston reports that Cassell was involved in an altercation with several residents, including the deceased, before the victim was hit.
