An Akron neighborhood was the scene of a brutal altercation that left one woman with severe facial injuries and another facing criminal charges. In the early hours of a weekend morning, two women were engaged in a violent confrontation that quickly escalated when one of them, identified as Nicole Posey, 51, allegedly used a knife and a pitbull as weapons against the other woman.
According to the report by News 5 Cleveland, the incident took place in the 1000 block of Burkhardt Avenue around 4 a.m. The authorities learned upon their arrival that an altercation had turned particularly gruesome with a stabbing, followed by an attack from a pitbull.
The 46-year-old victim was ambushed with multiple stab wounds during what was described as an argument. As noted by Cleveland19, the victim stated that Posey "stabbed her multiple times with a knife and then sent her pit bull to attack her." After the attack, the victim was transported to a local hospital to receive urgent care for the significant injuries sustained to her face.
Subsequent to the incident, Posey fled the scene, evading immediate arrest by law enforcement. A warrant for felonious assault has been issued for her arrest, as indicated by a release from the Akron Police detailed by the Akron Beacon Journal. The police are actively seeking information to facilitate Posey's apprehension and are urging anyone with knowledge pertaining to her whereabouts to come forward.
