The announcement, as The Detroit News reports, marks a significant step for the mixed-use skyscraper situated at the historic site of the original Hudson's department store on Woodward Avenue.
Speaking on the importance of the partnership, "Detroit is brimming with purpose and Alo's dedication to wellness and community complements the city's vibrancy and growth," Naumann Idrees, Bedrock's Senior Vice President of Leasing, told The Detroit News. Alo's debut in Detroit, slated for late summer, aligns with the city's ongoing effort to enhance downtown's appeal and economic vitality, the shop will offer a range of athletic clothing for both women and men.
According to ClickonDetroit, the comprehensive Hudson's Detroit project spans 1.5 million square feet and includes a 56,000-square-foot event space known as The Department at Hudson's, which recently hosted Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan's State of the City address,
Additional facets of the towering development will feature offices, a high-end hotel, residential condominiums, a public plaza and a rooftop lounge. Significantly, General Motors Co. is set to relocate its global headquarters to the site, as noted by FOX 2 Detroit. As for amenities, The Detroit EDITION hotel and The Residences at The Detroit EDITION are poised to offer upscale living and lodging within the skyscraper's confines.
