The Aloha Stadium Authority and Aloha Stadium Swap Meet & Marketplace are holding a public art contest called the "Walls of Legacy: Aloha Stadium Sculpture Challenge." Local artists are invited to create a sculpture or wall installation using salvaged pieces from the original stadium. The project will celebrate the stadium’s history and provide a new photo opportunity for visitors, according to the State of Hawaii.

Aloha Stadium is holding a contest for local artists to create an artwork that reflects the stadium's history and will be displayed at the Swap Meet grounds. "This is a chance for artists to literally shape history," said Chris J. Sadayasu, Interim Stadium Manager. Artists are invited to submit proposals with their ideas and requirements for the project, as reported by the State of Hawaii.

The Aloha Stadium Swap Meet & Marketplace is hosting a sculpture contest in two phases. In the first phase, artists are required to submit a sketch, artist statement, and material plan, focusing on the use of salvaged stadium metal. The selected artist or team will receive the metal and a stipend to create their sculpture in the second phase. The finished piece will be displayed at the Aloha Stadium Swap Meet & Marketplace as a tribute to the stadium's legacy. The submission deadline is Fall 2025, with the winning artist receiving a Grand Prize of $1,000, as stated by the State of Hawaii.
