Baltimore County Police have taken a significant step forward in a homicide case dating back to mid-April. According to the official police news release, detectives have arrested 38-year-old Benjamin Rowland on charges related to the murder of 48-year-old Charles Meile.
The incident, which had stunned the community on Ingleside Ave, occurred in the early hours of April 19. Meile was discovered with at least one gunshot wound around 2:00 a.m., at the 1100 block of Ingleside Ave, 21207, where, despite rapid transport to a local hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.
As the Baltimore County Police followed the breadcrumbs of evidence, Rowland emerged as the prime suspect, culminating in his arrest and the charges of first and second-degree murder now hanging heavy upon him. The gravity of the charges reflects the severity of the crime, as Rowland currently awaits trial behind bars, without bail, at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
