A 16-year-old Baltimore teen has been arrested on charges of attempted murder, following an April 12 shooting that injured a 28-year-old man. FOX Baltimore reports that the juvenile was apprehended on April 25 in the 800 block of Pontiac Avenue. The arrest was executed without incident by Baltimore Police, who later transported the youth to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he faces charges as an adult.
Despite their young age, the suspect is now entangled in the adult criminal justice system, charged with first-degree attempted murder. The shooting took place in the 900 block of East Patapsco Avenue.
In comparison, the victim was found wounded in the 3600 block of St. Victor Street, police said, without explaining the teen's adult charge processing. This detail was highlighted in a social media post by Baltimore Police.
