A 15-year-old on electronic monitoring due to previous crimes has been detained after being accused of participating in the kidnapping and robbery of a 12-year-old boy in Baltimore. According to FOX Baltimore, the incident, which occurred on Monday on the 2500 block of Aisquith Street, involved a young victim who was making his way to school when supposedly armed assailants confronted and subsequently threatened him.
The harrowing occurrence unfolded as the victim stood his ground, refusing to hand over his belongings which prompted the suspects to aggressively take him into a nearby house where they assaulted him, and took away his phone and sneakers, the three attackers not yet apprehended, but one suspect's identity was flagged owing to his current judicial monitoring, which tethered him to prior offenses involving car thefts and other robberies, as stated to WBAL-TV.
The accused teenager has been transported to the Juvenile Justice Center, where he faces charges of armed robbery and kidnapping. The Baltimore police department's ongoing investigation aims to identify the other two suspects involved.
