According to a recent announcement, those interested have until July 23 to submit their applications for a program that has already sculpted over 400 civically minded individuals into influencers in their community.
The Essentials course promises participants a thorough understanding of Bellevue's municipal processes through extensive, hands-on sessions. Scheduled from September 10 to November 12, the curriculum includes eight Wednesday evening classes from 5:30-8:30 p.m., a Tuesday class, and a Saturday field trip through Bellevue's vibrant neighborhoods and parks. Participants must attend at least eight sessions to successfully graduate from the program.
Beyond the classroom, graduates of Bellevue Essentials frequently go on to invest their newfound knowledge in practical ways, often joining city boards, commissions, and neighborhood associations.
