Yesterday early morning, Boston police arrested four juvenile males in connection with multiple crimes, including vehicle theft and firearm-related charges. At approximately 5:31 AM, officers responded to a report of a stolen vehicle, originally reported missing the previous evening from Brighton.

According to the Boston Police Department, the vehicle was later spotted by Wentworth Institute of Technology Police cameras near Ruggles Street around 5 AM, following a reported break-in in Newton. The suspects were also allegedly involved in an attempted armed robbery on Southern Avenue. Police issued a vehicle description after the suspects fled the scene.

A District B-2 officer located the vehicle, which failed to stop for police and ran a red light before briefly evading capture. Using camera footage, a police supervisor confirmed the vehicle remained in the area, prompting a concentrated search.

The vehicle was found abandoned in a public garage on Saint Alphonsus Street. Officers also recovered multiple vape products from inside the car. Shortly after, the four suspects were seen near Tremont Street, prompting a foot pursuit. They were apprehended at the intersection of Huntington and Tremont Streets.

During the arrest, police recovered a spent shell casing from one juvenile and a firearm from another, who was initially misidentified due to an active warrant. One of the juveniles, age 14, was found with a loaded Palmetto Armory firearm equipped with a laser sight.

All four juveniles face several charges, including unlawful possession of a firearm and receiving stolen property. They are scheduled to appear in Boston Juvenile Court.
