Boulder Police are currently on the lookout for potential victims in a string of hit-and-run crashes that took place on Monday. According to the Boulder Police Department, the incidents began around 4:50 p.m. when a vehicle struck a parked truck at 14th and Pearl. The situation escalated as the same vehicle, identified as a blue 2015 Hyundai Sonata with Texas plates, was involved in multiple other collisions in the surrounding area throughout less than an hour.
The chaotic spree included the Sonata hitting a moving car at 14th and Walnut Street and, shortly after, crashing into a vehicle at a traffic light on Arapahoe Avenue and Folsom. Each incident saw the driver leaving the scene without stopping to provide information or assistance.
As reported by the Boulder Police Department, no injuries were reported from any of the five crashes. The driver, Molly Tucker, aged 28, was apprehended at the scene and faces multiple charges. These include five counts of failure to present evidence of insurance, four counts of reckless driving, four counts of failing to remain at the scene after damaging another vehicle, careless driving, leaving the scene of an accident without providing required information, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs or both.
