Found with a fatal gunshot wound to the head in Crotona Park insights obtained from law enforcement suggest the incident took place around 12:45 p.m. yesterday near East 173rd Street, according to ABC7 New York.
Local residents described the aftermath of the incident, with Willie Morales noting the immediate effect on the community, telling ABC7 New York, "I saw all the kids running," his account states that children left their scooters behind and ran up the block to seek safety as the incident unfolded. Despite appeals to authorities for enhanced security, residents like Rosemarie Green experience persistent unease, she expressed, "They drink, they smoke, and they have guns. I'm afraid sometimes to even come out of my apartment."
