
Authorities in Brooklyn are on the hunt for a driver involved in a deadly hit-and-run incident that occurred late last night. According to PIX11, a 32-year-old woman was struck and killed by a maroon Chevy making a turn onto Marcus Garvey Boulevard at approximately 11:55 p.m. The victim, who was reportedly standing in the road at the time, succumbed to her injuries after being rushed to a local hospital.
After hitting the woman, the driver continued on, crashing into two parked cars on Lafayette Avenue before abandoning the vehicle and fleeing on foot, as outlined by CBS News. Running from the scene, the perpetrator left the woman on the street, where she was later found and tragically passed away from her injuries.
The NYPD has yet to make any arrests in connection to the incident, and the investigation remains active.
