In the early hours of Sunday, a street racing incident in Brooklyn Park resulted in a high-speed chase and crash, with one driver evading police capture. According to a report from the Brooklyn Park Police Department, a patrolling officer spotted two vehicles engaged in apparent drag racing at about 3:46 am near the intersection of Zane Avenue North and Oak Grove Parkway.
When the officer initiated a traffic stop, one of the vehicles sped away, leading to a pursuit westbound on Oak Grove Parkway, during which the fleeing driver collided with another vehicle at 96th Lane.
