A security officer was injured and a burglary suspect was fatally shot in a confrontation in Houston's River Oaks neighborhood on Sunday, shortly before 3 p.m. near San Felipe and Bellmeade. The incident began with a burglary at a local residence and led to a response from the River Oaks Patrol and the Houston Police Department, according to Click2Houston.
Esfandiar Baharloo, the homeowner, said, "I saw a suspicious person on camera and immediately called River Oaks Patrol," as mentioned by Click2Houston. He was not at home at the time but was watching remotely. River Oaks Patrol officers responded and encountered an armed suspect who tried to run. The chase ended behind River Oaks Elementary School, where gunshots were exchanged.
