An incident unfolded last night on southbound Interstate 75 near Grange Hall Road in Oakland County, Michigan, when a driver who had exited his vehicle after a collision was fatally struck by oncoming traffic. As reported by CBS News Detroit, the driver, a 25-year-old man from Burton, had lost control of his car "due to driving too fast for road conditions," leading to the vehicle striking the wall on the right shoulder and becoming immobilized in a construction zone.
After the initial crash, the man got out to stand near his disabled car in the left lane. It was here that a second car, traveling in the same lane, failed to properly stop, ultimately causing a second collision that sent the man into the roadway. According to a social media post from the Michigan State Police (MSP) Second District, obtained by MSP Second District, a third vehicle subsequently struck the man as well.
