A somber update from the Cedar Hill Police Department details the aftermath of a gunshot incident that happened on Sunday in the Cedar Hill community, resulting in one fatality and the apprehension of a suspect. In a social media post, the department reported responding to a shots-fired call in the 200 block of S. Clark Road.
The officers discovered a gunshot victim at the scene and provided first aid before the individual was rushed to a local hospital, where they later died. At the same time, the second person, suffering from a gunshot wound as well, surfaced at the hospital soon after and was identified as the shooter. They were then taken into custody. According to the Cedar Hill Police Department, the individuals involved were acquainted with each other, ensuring no further danger loomed over the residents regarding this particular event.
