A Central Florida man accused of multiple attacks on elderly women was denied bond today. As reported by WFTV, Deriko Montreze Hill, facing charges of burglary with assault, attempted sexual battery, and battery on a person aged 65 or older, will continue to remain in an Orange County Jail cell until his trial.

Judge Cherish Adams cited in the pretrial detention hearing that she believed there was a substantial probability that Hill committed the alleged offenses. "I do find that there is a substantial probability that the defendant has committed the offenses he’s accused of in these cases, and I also find there are no reasonable conditions of release that could protect the community from the risk of physical harm,” Adams stated, as detailed by ClickOrlando. The defense did not oppose the motion to deny bond.

The string of incidents linked to Hill began on April 15, when a 76-year-old woman reported an intrusion in her Wilkinson Street home, where Hill allegedly attempted to sexually assault her. Another report came from a 90-year-old resident of HarborChase in Dr. Phillips on April 29, claiming Hill exposed himself and tried to force himself on her. Hill expressed an apology before leaving the scene, authorities said. These events were part of the basis of the charges leveled against Hill.

Additional reports suggest Hill was also attempting to gain access to the Brookdale Senior Living Facility. Deputies later arrested him near the facility after a tip-off about a suspicious individual.
