The National Weather Service reports that isolated to scattered thunderstorms are expected across the area this afternoon and evening, with the possibility of a few becoming strong to severe and producing damaging wind gusts. Reduced visibility to around 1.5 miles is also possible in the morning due to fog and mist.
Tonight, the chance of rain decreases to 20 percent before 10 p.m. Skies will remain mostly cloudy, and temperatures will drop to around 64°F. Winds will remain light and calm. On Thursday, there is a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 5 p.m., with a high near 83°F.
Looking ahead, the Hazardous Weather Outlook from the National Weather Service indicates no significant weather threats from Thursday through Tuesday. The weekend is expected to bring mostly sunny skies, with temperatures gradually rising into the low to mid-80s early next week.
