Early last Saturday morning, a verbal dispute in Citrus Heights led to a stabbing near Greenback Lane and Auburn Boulevard. The victim, who has not been identified, was taken to a local hospital with multiple stab wounds. The Citrus Heights Police Department said on social media that detectives from the General Investigations and POP units acted quickly on the case. Austin Carson, 27, a probationer described as homeless, was identified as a suspect in the altercation. An attempted murder warrant was issued, and Carson was arrested by IMPACT Detectives on Wednesday. He was booked into the Sacramento County Jail, "where he's being held without bail."
