Early Thursday morning, a woman's call to 911 initiated a swift response from the Clarksville Police Department after she reported being stabbed in Clarksville. Found in the roadway near 2296 McCormick Lane, the victim was immediately transported to Tennova Healthcare for emergency treatment, details from WSMV confirmed.
While the woman's identity has not been disclosed, ClarksvilleNow reported that the incident took place around 2:21 a.m., and Officer Scott Beaubien stated that evidence pointed to an occurrence inside one of the apartments. Officers found the specified apartment unoccupied, which led to locking down the apartment complex's parking lot as part of securing the scene.
Detectives, now charged with the task of unraveling the night's events, have begun their investigation in earnest, as they face the complexity of scant information from the victim and an assailant still at large. "Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to call 911 immediately," the Clarksville Police Department reiterated in a statement obtained by ClarksvilleOnline.
