Notably, engineering and nursing majors stand among the valedictorians who will celebrate their scholarly triumphs on May 10. These exceptional graduates excelled in their studies and made significant marks outside the classroom.
The Cleveland State University news release revealed that Chloe Amoroso, a soon-to-be Washkewicz College of Engineering graduate, has been named one of the valedictorians. Amoroso, who traded her art supplies for engineering tools, embodies the spirit of exploration and innovation. Her accomplishments are not to be missed quietly. She has demonstrated leadership as the treasurer of CSU’s NFPA Fluid Power Vehicle Challenge chapter and co-president of Sisters in STEM. Moreover, her athletic skills have also led her to set a school record in the triple jump.
Amoroso’s academic excellence extends to research, where she obtained her first conference publication and scored a first-place award for undergraduate research at CSU's Research Day. These achievements, alongside a scholarship from the Ohio Space Grant Consortium, pave her path to the NASA Glenn Research Center after graduation. Her summer role at NASA is set to further her involvement in propelling aerospace technology forward.
