A lucky canine named Zoey found herself on precarious ground last Thursday when she became stranded on the rocky expanse near the Lake Conroe Dam; however, her tale took a fortuitous turn, thanks to the Conroe Fire Department's swift response and a vigilant boater who first spotted the petrified pup, as reported by Click2Houston.
Engine 6 and the San Jacinto River Authority worked together to rescue a scared dog named Zoey from a tricky construction area. Firefighter Fell carefully picked her up and searched Facebook for lost pet posts. He found a match and contacted her family. Zoey was happily reunited with them at Station 6, and the family shared the joyful moment on Facebook, according to Click2Houston.
The local Conroe community has been vocal about its appreciation, with social media channels lighting up with praise for the rescue team's dedication and humanity—emotions that were echoed by Montgomery County Judge Mark Keough who took to social media, stating, "Excellent work all around from the Engine 6 crew and the Conroe Fire Department. Love to see such a great outcome considering this poor pup was not only lost but in a dangerous situation. Great job!" in a statement obtained by KHOU.
