The DeLand Police Department is actively investigating a fatal shooting that took place this morning at McCabe's Bar on N. Amelia Avenue. According to information from WFTV, the incident at around 1:30 a.m. began as a fistfight between several men and escalated when one man drew a firearm and shot 32-year-old Keshod Harris multiple times in the chest.

Harris, a DeLand resident, was taken to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. While caught during the shoot-out, a bartender also sustained injuries to both hands, which were reported by FOX 35 Orlando to be non-life-threatening. Officers from the DeLand Police Department and the Volusia Sheriff's Office responded to the scene following reports of gunfire.
