The National Weather Service in Milwaukee/Sullivan has issued a Dense Fog Advisory for several Wisconsin counties, including Sheboygan, Kenosha, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, and Racine. The advisory, in effect until 10 a.m. CDT today, warns of significantly reduced visibility and potentially hazardous driving conditions. Motorists are advised to slow down, use headlights, and maintain a safe distance between vehicles.
According to the National Weather Service, in addition to the fog, today includes a chance of isolated thunderstorms. Looking ahead, Thursday afternoon and evening bring a level 3 out of 5 conditional risk for severe thunderstorms, with the potential for large hail, damaging winds, and tornadoes if storms develop.
Friday includes periods of sun along with showers and thunderstorms. Winds may become strong, with gusts possibly reaching 40 mph, as per the National Weather Service. Unstable weather is expected to continue into next week, with scattered thunderstorms possible from Thursday night through Tuesday.
The National Weather Service has indicated that spotter activation may be needed later in the week, depending on storm development.
