The skies above Calhoun Middle School in Denton will be busier than usual this Saturday morning, but there's no cause for alarm – it's all part of a planned operation. The City of Denton Fire Department has informed the community that a fleet of helicopters from 5 State Helicopters will be conducting HVAC hoisting work.
According to a social media post from the fire department, residents can expect these choppers to fly at unusually low altitudes between 8 a.m. and noon. Those with concerns or curiosities are encouraged to contact 5 State directly at [email protected] or call them at 972-636-4009.
Given the nature of the operation involving very low level large helicopter maneuvers, the fire department's announcement serves to preclude undue concern, especially considering the proximity to residential areas near Crescent St. Working in conjunction with local authorities, 5 State Helicopters ensures that all safety measures and protocols will be strictly adhered to during the execution of these activities.
