The Detroit Police Department has issued an appeal for public assistance in locating Jonviayre Bishop, a 16-year-old girl reported missing in Detroit. Bishop was last seen leaving her residence in the 4300 block of Chatsworth Street without permission yesterday and has not returned home since, as reported by ClickOnDetroit.
Described as standing 5′8″ tall with dark brown locs, brown eyes, and weighing 180 pounds, the missing teen was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans when last seen. Her mother has expressed particular concern since Jonviayre suffers from bipolar disorder and schizophrenia, conditions that underscore the urgency for her safe recovery.
Efforts to spread the word about Jonviayre Bishop's disappearance have extended to social media, with the Detroit Police Department's Missing Facebook page sharing a post that urges the public to come forward with any information. "Please help us find missing Jonviayre Bishop," the post reads, featuring contact details for the 5th Precinct at (313) 596-5540 or urging people to dial 911.
