Police Captain Nathan Duda noted that the individuals knew each other, and after an argument, the situation grew physical in an adjoining bathroom area. Following a fist thrown by the victim, the suspect retaliated with a cut beneath the victim's left armpit.

A statement obtained by FOX 2 Detroit further specified that the incident occurred just after 6 p.m. on yesterday. Authorities have released a photo of the suspect in hopes that public assistance can aid in her capture. According to reports, the suspect was able to change her attire post-incident, leaving the scene unnoticed approximated 20 minutes later.

ClickOnDetroit reported that the victim's condition is temporary serious but stable. The suspect reportedly exited the Renaissance Center and vanished, with the authorities unclear on whether the woman caught a bus or simply walked away from the vicinity of the stabbing at the 400 block of Renaissance.

Police are applying every technological resource at their disposal to identify and apprehend the suspect. "We have all the specifics needed for any further investigation to be able to identify and capture thus, my recommendation to the offender is turn yourself in, save yourself the trouble, because we're going to find you shortly," Captain Duda pointedly told ClickOnDetroit. The investigation is ongoing, and the Detroit Police Department continues to request that any individuals with information come forward to assist in the resolution of this violent act.
