A driver has been placed under arrest for hitting a 13-year-old boy on a bike in Spring and fleeing the scene, Constable Mark Herman's Office reports. According to Click2Houston, the incident took place in the 3800 block of FM 2920 near Falvel Road, with the driver failing to stop and provide assistance post-collision.
The Special Operations and K-9 Unit of the constable's office successfully tracked and arrested the suspect at FM 1488 and Magnolia Ridge Boulevard. Following the crash, in need of medical attention, the teenager was transported to a local hospital. The severity of his injuries, however, remains undisclosed by officials.
The name of the driver involved, as well as potential charges, have not yet been released by authorities. The investigation into the matter is currently ongoing.
