The City of Duncanville has announced a new initiative aimed at addressing a host of neighborhood concerns in Merribrook Park. Slated to start on May 30th, the 'Neighborhood Sweep' endeavor is a response to community feedback. It will cover issues like traffic violations, illegal parking, and environmental nuisances such as high grass, damaged fences, and debris.
Through the sweep, officials intend to bolster the "safety, cleanliness, and livability" of local neighborhoods. "Our goal is to work together to enhance the safety, cleanliness, and livability of your neighborhood for all residents," the Duncanville Police Department shared in a social media post.
Residents are encouraged to learn more and offer input at two planned community meetings. The first will take place tomorrow, starting at 5:00 p.m., at the D.L. Hopkins Jr. Senior Center. A follow-up meeting is scheduled for May 27th, promising residents an opportunity to engage directly with law enforcement and city officials.
