After over three decades of service, Eden Prairie Police Department Officer Rob Geis is set to retire at the end of May. The well-respected officer, affectionately known as "Officer Rob" in the community, has been a constant presence in the Eden Prairie Schools since 2004, fulfilling a crucial role as a juvenile liaison officer. The City of Eden Prairie notes his absence will be felt across all but one of Eden Prairie's educational institutions, Cedar Ridge being the single exception.
Throughout his tenure, Officer Rob has been particularly influential within the elementary schools, dedicating 21 years to not simply law enforcement but to the education and welfare of the city’s younger residents through programs like CounterAct. The bond between the officer and Eden Lake Elementary stands out as special, as his daughter is part of the teaching staff there, per statements released by the City of Eden Prairie.
As Officer Rob prepares for his upcoming retirement, the Eden Prairie Police Department and community members extend their gratitude for his 31 years of dedicated service. "We thank Officer Rob for his 31 years of service to the community and wish him all the best in retirement," the City of Eden Prairie stated.
