Good news for families in Englewood, as the city's Summer Lunch Program is set to return this season. The Englewood Civic Center, situated at 1000 Englewood Parkway, will once again play host to the initiative aimed at providing local school children with nutritious meals during the summer break. Kicking off on June 2 and continuing every weekday until July 31, the program invites kids and teens to enjoy a free lunch between 11:30 a.m. and noon, according to the City of Englewood.
However, participants should note that the service will pause on two specific dates; there will be no distribution of lunches on June 19 and July 4. The Civic Center breezeway, located near the parking garage, will serve as the distribution point for the lunches.
