The operation aims to weld a protective sleeve onto the line to thwart future leaks. The extended repair work will push completion to Monday afternoon, May 19, and will be carried out during the day, including Saturday.
The work proceeds with heightened care during daylight hours to minimize disruptions, but Josey Lane's southbound lanes are still wrestling with the chaos. The City of Carrollton statement advises drivers to avoid turning east onto Rainwater Lane from Josey and suggests Jackson Road as the alternative path for southbound traffic. Despite the upheaval, reports of service outages or public safety risks have not surfaced.
